12 Minutes Review - Intermediate Internet Marketing
Have you ever read the final chapter of "The 12 Minute Review" by Jason Fladlien? This is probably not what you were expecting when you purchased this book. This marketing plan was supposed to be about how to write a marketing plan, but the chapters have more to do with business strategy than they do about writing a marketing plan. I believe that the concept of the chapters being titled, "12 Minutes" refers to the fact that all of the marketing plan features are done in a single sitting in front of you so that you don't have to do anything but read the chapters and absorb the information at the same time.
Fladlien starts the chapter by describing himself and his background and how he became interested in marketing through the process of one of his consulting jobs. The one thing that he stresses throughout the book is that the most important part of any marketing plan is the comprehensive marketing plan. He further explains that this marketing plan should take into account every aspect of the business, including the customer. So, if one of the marketing plan chapter focuses on getting new customers, then it should also include ways in which you can attract existing customers as well.
One of the problems I have with many online marketing guides is that they tend to focus only on one aspect of marketing. Most often, when a person reads an eBook, they focus on just one aspect, such as creating a squeeze page, or deciding what type of landing pages will work best for them. These are the things that make up a solid marketing plan. However, this chapter focuses on all aspects of the business, including traffic generation.
Some of the topics that you will cover in this chapter include why it is important to focus on traffic generation, why you should use content and video and how to incorporate these two main traffic generation strategies into your website. Fladlien shows the reader how to create relevant content, and he does this in a way that will engage the reader and make them want to visit the website. He does not waste their time with fluff and large paragraphs that do nothing but consist of fluff. This is an eBook for people who want to generate traffic and make money from the Internet. It is not an e-book for a person who wants to build a big list of email addresses and market to them.
Another thing that you will learn in this chapter is how to use video to attract more traffic and convert them into leads. There are several methods you can use to add video to your website, such as YouTube, or using live streaming software like Livestream. However, doing so can take quite a bit of time. By using the tools in this chapter, you will be able to quickly and easily convert visitors into leads. You can easily move this strategy to other parts of your marketing plan, if you find that you need to.
Overall, this is a great e-book for anyone who is interested in internet marketing or wants to start using a traffic generation strategy on the Internet. It covers several important topics including keyword research, search engine optimization, and using video to attract more visitors to your website. It is definitely worth reading, even if you already knew some of the information in the previous chapters. I have found this e-book to be helpful in increasing traffic and sales, and probably even to making more money.
